Hello friends!

Welcome back! Today we're talking about hints and tips to help you through basic combat in Elite Dangerous. Whether you love bounty hunting and depend on it to make the majority of your credits or you're new to it all, there are some valuable tips and tricks to help you along in any fight.

This is a live, co-op bounty hunting session with one of my subscribers, Geo MC. We're flying in a private group, however open play and solo are both viable options for combat; depending on how much risk you want to take and how much the rebuy of your ship costs!

Geo is flying the beautiful Federal Corvette (as seen in the intro) and I'm in my trusty Anaconda.

It's important to note that I made a couple obvious mistakes in this video: Firstly, I didn't hire a pilot to man my fighter! If you have a fighter bay in your ship, make sure to go to the crew lounge in any station that has one and hire the minimum amount of crew you need to man your fighters (usually just one).

Also, use laser weapons (specifically beam lasers) to take down shields, as opposed to wasting all your multicannon ammo like I did here. Multicannons are amazing at armor piercing and hull damage but are not nearly as effective against shields.

Of course, you'll want to visit the engineer of your choice to improve your weapons, shields, and other ship modules to be the best bounty hunter you can be in Elite Dangerous!
