Step-by-Step Guide to Enable Secure Boot in BIOS on a Windows 11 PC
1. Access the BIOS/UEFI Settings

Shut Down Your PC: Completely power off your Windows 11 computer.
Enter BIOS: Power on the PC and immediately press the key to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup. For Gigabyte motherboards, this is typically Del (or F2 on some models). For other brands, common keys include F2, F10, Esc, or F12—check your PC’s boot screen or manual for the exact key.

Press the key repeatedly during startup to ensure you enter the BIOS.

2. Navigate to the Boot or Security Tab
Use the arrow keys to navigate the BIOS/UEFI menu.
For Gigabyte motherboards, switch to Advanced Mode by pressing F2 if you’re in Easy Mode.

Look for a tab labeled Boot, BIOS, Security, or System Configuration (exact names vary by manufacturer).

3. Disable CSM Support (if enabled)
Secure Boot requires UEFI mode, so you must disable the Compatibility Support Module (CSM), which enables Legacy Boot.
Navigate to the Boot tab (or BIOS on Gigabyte boards).

Find CSM Support or Launch CSM and set it to Disabled.
If prompted, ensure Boot Mode or Boot Option is set to UEFI (not Legacy or UEFI and Legacy).

4. Enable Secure Boot
In the Boot, BIOS, or Security tab, locate the Secure Boot or Secure Boot Mode option.

If Secure Boot is listed as Disabled, select it and set it to Enabled using the provided keys (e.g., Enter, +/-, or as indicated on-screen).
For Gigabyte motherboards:

Go to BIOS - Secure Boot.
If Secure Boot Mode is set to Custom, select Install All Factory Default Keys or Restore Factory Keys to load Microsoft’s default Secure Boot keys (required for Windows 11).

Set Secure Boot to Enabled.
If Secure Boot is grayed out, ensure CSM is disabled and the system is in UEFI mode.
