🟦 End Step
This is the first part of the ending phase. Any abilities that say “at the beginning of the end step” will trigger now — things like delayed flicker effects, tokens that exile, or end-of-turn draws. Players can still cast instants or activate abilities here. It’s your last chance to do anything before the turn ends.
🧠 Advanced Uses of the End Step
Bait removal: Cast flash creatures or instant-speed value spells to test for responses before your main turn.
Protect on the stack: Use end step timing to cast spells when opponents are less likely to respond — they may have tapped out in combat or during their own turn.
Force discard: Draw lots of cards during your end step to push into cleanup and make opponents discard down to 7.
