What is Untap?
Untap is the very first part of your turn in Magic.
It’s where all your tapped cards — lands, creatures, artifacts — “wake up” and become usable again.
📌 Important facts:
It happens automatically at the start of your turn.
No one can cast spells or activate abilities during Untap.
You don’t choose what untaps — everything you control untaps unless something says otherwise.
🧠 Why it matters:
Untapping your cards gives you mana back, makes creatures able to attack or block again, and resets abilities. It’s like hitting the reset button before you start your turn.
Think of it as your army getting out of bed and grabbing their gear.
