Entering Yokai Country S8 Pt2 Barok Plays Nioh NG+
0The first area of the DLC is a long one, which is should be considering the dlc is quite short. Like 3 main missions and the last one is just a boss fight. Still, it's quite challenging in places where you have to pull out all the stops to survive. Especially if you use lighter armor.
There are 2 new enemy types here, the resident evil rejects known as rokurokubi and the berserker namahage. The Rokuokubi have some tricks but the most damaging is the grab, which is countered by not staying in close. Esentially get in, hit it, get out of melee range. It does have a lot of range so be ready to dodge left and right as it shoots out both poison and fire. It also loves to expel poison in a cone in front of it. You have to stay on your toes.
The Namahage is a different beast altogether. It does tons of damage, both variants have wide sweeping arcs, and has a respectable amount of health. If you're waiting for me to tell you the secret to killing them... I don't know either. I just kinda force the issue and win by sheer virtue of the fact my build allows it, at least on Way of the Strong.
