I did a video showing the collision avoidance and open path finding idea I am working on. I ramble a bunch but later show my really messy code if you are interested. Things like how to raycast at an an angle from your ship, how to figure out where the end of that cast is in relation to your ship, how to rotate by degrees per second rather that SLERPing.
