Among the ESP trilogy actually ESP RA.DE.'s is my very first. The first one was with Irori, not Yusuke. This one is a new replay after Kyukyoku Tiger broke me down.

I love it, of course! It's a speedy game! It has the intensity like Espgaluda II but not too mean like Espgaluda I. In terms of difficulty, ESP RA.DE. is within the range of usual CAVE's difficulty.

ESP RA.DE. doesn't have kakusei yet, though. You can shoot, holding down the shot button actually won't change your shot behavior except Alice, you can laser-bomb, the most powerful iteration by the way because under 36% or so by absorbing bullets it can go max power quickly, and the special shots. Aimable or not depending on the character. In case of Yusuke, to compensate his very straight and narrow fire shot his special shot sways very widely.

For a bullet hell sans Dangun Feveron the movement speed of the characters are quite speedy, even JB-5 the wide shot character. You zip through from point A to point B in a flash. This is also important considering the way scoring works. It's a bit unintuitive where you need to stack the special shots to your target then finish it with the main shot but when you get the flow of it it's very satisfying. Like, boom, x16 points flying towards you! The stage design has great variety too. Stage 4 in particular is my favorite for its speed.

Another weird mechanic in the game is how you reload your bombs. You won't be given any bomb reload items, but the point items when it fulfills the threshold and your bomb gauge is under 100% the point items will be converted into energy items. With right reload and actually you can spam your bombs while in this period Battle Garegga style, you can refill your bomb gauge from completely empty to around 90%! You'll want to take note of that.

Much, much recommended! Very especially Arcade Plus. It's an expansion made by M2. The new voice clips are very clear and fleshes out the characters and the story really well! It's just it doesn't have subtitles. The new final boss, Alice, will be in her weak form when you lose more than 2 lives.
