With the upcoming new expansion to Pokémon TCG, Sun & Moon - Guardians Rising, just about a month away, let's continue checking out the Sun & Moon base set's Pokémon-GX with our star of this week's Pokémon TCG Live Online Match video: Espeon-GX! This Psychic-type Pokémon brings its powerful Psychic attack, doing 60 damage plus 30 more damage times the amount of Energy attached to the opposing Active Pokémon. It also boasts the GX-Attack, Divide GX, allowing you to place 10 damage counters on any of your opponent's Pokémon however you like. Since that's only usable once per match, I'm going to try to focus on powering up Psychic by manipulating the opponent's Energy. That's where our benched Slowking are going to come into play. Each Slowking can use its Royal Flash Ability once per turn, allowing you to flip a coin, with a flip of heads allowing you to move an Energy from your opponent's Active Pokémon to one of their benched Pokémon. The idea here will be to move as much Energy onto one benched Pokémon as possible, then use our trusty friend Lysandre to bring that Energized Pokémon Active, allowing Espeon-GX to fire off a massive amount of damage with its Psychic attack.
