Etrian Odyssey Untold II - Sovereign Duo [Chimaera]
0Who says Sovereign is a useless class?
Taking into account the superb survivability, Heavy Armor/Shield equippables, buffs/null buffs and well rounded stat growths, I really like Sovereign, and rarely have a run without one.
For the Chimaera Fight, it's more or less reacting to battlefield conditions than anything else - save for praying that Double Strike hits both targrts and Snake Pile does not land poison.
Chimaera's normal attack isn't too dangerous. Damage can be restored by a turn of Protect Order or by having Melis cast an order.
Double Strike is very similar to normal attack, though it could kill if it hits the same target twice.
Snake Pile isn't too dangerous in terms of damage, sitting at around 150% of a normal, but the 45ish damage poison proc can be pretty taxing. The poison can be negated with Protect Order regen or Prevent Order, but I went for the PSN resist food and Attack Order
Menacing Roar isn't a big deal, since I always have Guard Order up. When it nulls it I will have to use Alva to cast Guard Order since his is lv9 compared to Melis' 1.
Finally, Great Blaze. It's kind of a joke really. Hits 50% of a basic to the sovereign duo.
Honestly, I struggled more with the Ragelope. This fight is just a lot more drawn out. It'll only get rougher from here though.
