so i learned 2 new things today. yay n00bness!
1. war reports are actually only going to show the details for 'recent' (both ingame and zkillboard), but the totals shown will be tallied for the entire war
2. finished wars will show three icons when you check the war report's ally button
a) greyed out and no + means they didn't ask for allies
b) greyed out and + means they did ask but received none
c) enabled means they did ask and received at least one ally

i] if you see a blank box for the allies it means noone was actively defending that week for the defender when the war ended
ii] if you see an entity in that box then that ally was actively defending during their 7 day duration ally up period when the war ended
iii] extrapolating from this, once assumes that you'll never actually know who was allying for the defender, and what losses they incurred, if the war went on long enough and the war report details don't have any details

which is fascinating and probably rife with potential for abusing the system, but i can't see anything at the very moment. worth pondering on the backburner...maybe something will percolate up.
