WARNING! if you're an EverQuest fan you might want to stop reading at this point, if you insist on reading on then be prepared for my thoughts about this game.. i'm not holding back.

Way back in 1999 this game was considered groundbreaking, the ONLY thing I found it to be in this day and age (2020) was brain cell breaking. With over 20 years in expansions you would think by now the devs would do an expansion that reworks the entire UI and menu system, cos' there's a LOT of it EVERYWHERE and all looking very outdated with too much information to read.

Graphically, i've seen worse Mmos released later but this one looks it's age and hasn't aged very well. I pretty much got the movement down within a short while, even if it DOES have weird controls with the mouse and keyboard. The music.. well, I didn't even get far enough to listen to any but I think 3 songs so can't really judge music, but what I heard it was pretty standard.

Just no direction at the beginning, I was.. "where do I go?" no markers to follow once I got in that cave. I did see the window in the top left of my screen telling me to go hail like 6 billion npcs, okay an exaggeration but still.. what the hell man? Character creation is so limited, ugly, and so outdated it makes the chicken dance look brand new.

People will say "You didn't give this game a chance, it gets better" *cough* with all these menus cluttering up the game, pop-ups to buy things from the store or to become a member I didn't WANT to give it a chance, hence why this video is only 30 odd mins even though I DID play for another 40 mins after, I just couldn't put myself through that torture anymore.

Apologies for the bad review BUT I just couldn't get into this game what so ever, I play games on the basis that if the game don't grab me at the beginning it's probably not going to an hour or 10 hours or 5 weeks into the game, especially true with mmos.

In any case, you can play the game on STEAM here if you're interested..
