Amnesia - The Dark Descent is an horror themed adventure survival first person game created by Frictional Games and released in 2010. It's hard to believe this game was released 10 years ago, it has aged so well.

Though this game is in my STEAM list this is the first time i've actually played it. I wish I played it much sooner though.. I just knew my motion sickness would set in once I did start to play it. I dunno why I suffer like I do playing First-Person type games, it annoys the hell out of me, it's the same with VR games.

SO! at the risk of having to rest a few hours and lay down after recording this video I present to you my hour of playing Amnesia - The Dark Descent, with the developer commentary on so you guys have something extra to listen to about the game's development and such.

First off, WOW! the setting for this game, it's so nicely done, creepy and horror looking it's great. The sound effects that suddenly happen, from dripping of water, to screams down hallways, phantom footsteps, and monster groans down corridors area all nicely done.

The cut-scenes that have real voice overs are all nicely done as well, very professional. The Developers Commentary could have been a little clearer, at times it's hard to make out what they are actually saying but that's understandable as English is not their native language for most of them.

Being this was the first time playing i'm guessing the area I was in was the introduction to the game. The puzzle here was to find 4 vials and a jar to make a concoction to allow you to pass the slime, well I found 3 vials and the jar. If the game's continuing puzzles are like this vial/jar puzzle then this will certainly be an even better game, these type of puzzles are just great.
