So it appears that in December of 2021 we will be recieving a sequel to the Shadows of Luclin and be returning to the moon, I mean everybody's going to the moon in MMOs these days with Final Fantasy XIV's moon expansion in November, but going to Luclin is no stranger to EverQuest Fans. Now this is the 28th expansion but it is the FIRST expansion under the leadership of EG7 and I was very impressed with the launch of the latest TLP server under EG7 and their updates to the servers were noticed by all, so I'm really thinking this could be a good quality release, but it's just a hunch. Let's take a look at all of the features of the new Terror of Luclin expansion coming to a Norrath near you:
7 new zones, of course piles of quests and missions, new raids, new spells and abilities, new collections and level cap increase up to 120.
Pre-Orders are up and I have a link to that in the description down below and the website for the preorder is of much higher quality than I am used to seeing with EverQuest expansions and is really setting this up to be something special, now will this beautiful art translate into an equally impressive expansion is yet to be seen of course.
It is already impressive that this MMORPG from 1999 is still recieving regular expansions to be honest, if you look around at the other MMOs anywhere near it's age, we don't see much activity. Ultima Online, Final Fantasy XI, Dark Age of Camelot have went without expansions for so long I would be shocked to see a new one appear ever again. Not to say they don't update those games but adding whole swaths of content is very rare for an MMO of this age. But not for EQ players who have seen the expansions come and go in regular doses.
The past expansions have had some very mixed reactions, but it COULD be a new age for EverQuest as EG7 does seem interested in bringing back players and making EverQuest relevant.

As far as new raids go, this is mentioned, and I quote:
With visions of Luclin herself walking the halls of Ka Vethan, The High Priestess, Aten Ha Ra, has secured her power and exerts her will over all the Akheva. She has restored Ka Vethan and has already reclaimed the surrounding areas. The Akheva intend to extend that influence throughout the moon, to reclaim what rightfully belongs to Luclin and her servants. Aten Ha Ra's power is impossible to deny, but can you deny her conquest?
Aten Ha Ra is not the only enemy preventing Norrath's heroes from discovering the future of the planes and preventing the Mistress of Shadows from achieving whatever secret goal she seeks. Old enemies ranging from Doomshade to Zelnithak roam Luclin seeking to devour or destroy anyone in their path.
Ancient beings from the planes wait in darkness and shadow and only the strongest heroes can defeat them!
