EVERYDAY OBJECTS (PART 1): CARTOON MOP
A new BLENDER CHALLENGE is beginning called EVERYDAY OBJECTS and it is open to anybody from beginner to advanced users. If you'd like to join the challenge, have some fun and get some feedback from other Blender enthusiasts, follow the link below to the zerobio discord server where you can post your WIPS (works in progress) and final renders and see what everyone else is modeling.
I will be modeling and texturing a few objects for the challenge as well and will document it all in this series of videos. The list of all videos in the series will be updated below so you can watch any that interest you.
So, since the topic is EVERYDAY OBJECTS, I've decided to make a cartoon mop (I sometimes call it a broom, however). I will be using a curve path and curve circle (as a bevel object) to create the mop part. You will really start to see the mop take form when I do the material for it. And I will be making a procedural wood for the handle. Finally, I will add a simple circular floor with pattern and adjust the lighting and background colour.
