So, I just wanted to give this a try on my own, and it's been pretty crazy pretty fast. It didn't take long at all for anything to maul me to death. I got cave spiders after me the first 10 seconds that the world generated. Then everything Thaumcraft wanted to kill me.

Other than that, I started a temporary base with a pretty decent setup; I got the basic stuff for Thaumcraft situated. And then I get butchered by the most vicious thing in Thaumcraft, the Hungry Node. A node so dangerous that it'll actually consume blocks and entities.

Mods that I'm using:
[1.7.9+] Thaumcraft, Morph, Hats, Carpenter's Blocks, Treecapitator, Custom Mob Spawners, Ruins, Gravestone, Tinker's Construct, Better Furnaces, NotEnoughItems, Rei's Minimap, Damage Indicators, and some mods to help run the others.
