Everything You Want in a OLED | ASUS Lumina OLED
Introducing a new generation of laptop displays that give you MORE accurate colors, MORE adaptive functions, and MORE reliable quality.
Laptops have come a long way in terms of performance, design, and features, but one aspect that often gets overlooked is the display. The display is the window to your digital world, and it can make a huge difference in your experience. Whether you are working, gaming, or streaming, you want a display that can deliver stunning visuals, accurate colors, and smooth motion. That’s why ASUS has introduced Lumina OLED, a new display standard for laptops that offers unprecedented visual quality that is more accurate, more adaptive, and more reliable than other OLED displays.
What is Lumina OLED?
Lumina OLED is the name for a new generation of laptop displays that meet high-quality criteria set by ASUS. ASUS claims that Lumina OLED displays are “More accurate. More Adaptive. More reliable.” than other OLED displays. Lumina OLED displays have the following features:
- 2.8K resolution: Lumina OLED displays have a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, which is higher than the standard Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This means that Lumina OLED displays can show more details and sharper images, especially for text and graphics.
- 16:10 aspect ratio: Lumina OLED displays have a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is wider than the standard 16:9 aspect ratio. This means that Lumina OLED displays can show more content on the screen, such as more lines of code, more spreadsheet columns, or more web pages. This also gives you more screen space for multitasking and productivity.
- HDR10 and Dolby Vision support: Lumina OLED displays support HDR10 and Dolby Vision, which are two formats of high dynamic range (HDR) technology. HDR technology can enhance the contrast, brightness, and color range of the display, making the images more realistic and immersive. HDR technology can also improve the visibility of dark and bright scenes, such as in movies, games, and photos.
- 10-bit color processing: Lumina OLED displays have 10-bit color processing, which means that they can display up to 1.07 billion colors, which is 64 times more than the standard 8-bit color processing. This means that Lumina OLED displays can show more subtle and accurate colors, especially for gradients, shadows, and skin tones.
- 100% DCI-P3 color gamut: Lumina OLED displays have a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, which is a wide color space that covers more colors than the standard sRGB color space. This means that Lumina OLED displays can show more vivid and saturated colors, especially for reds, greens, and blues. This also makes Lumina OLED displays ideal for creative professionals, such as photographers, designers, and video editors, who need to work with accurate and consistent colors.
- 0.2ms response time: Lumina OLED displays have a 0.2ms response time, which is the time it takes for a pixel to change from one color to another. This is much faster than the standard LCD displays, which have a response time of around 5ms. This means that Lumina OLED displays can show smoother and clearer motion, especially for fast-paced games, videos, and animations.
-Auto focus and alignment: Lumina OLED displays have an auto focus and alignment function, which can automatically adjust the image size and shape to fit the screen. This can eliminate the need for manual calibration and ensure optimal image quality and clarity.
