Exploring Castle Lockstone & Discovering Camp Of The Free Crows [Death's Door 3]
So considering that that in the last 2 session that I played I basically was able complete the entire section and plus defeat the boss... these next few sessions are going be not that...
So first things first. I discovered a new area called The Stranded Sailor. It's a small little section but it has a few appearances of people I can across in the last section which give me a feeling that nearing the end of the game maybe or that I'm nearing the halfway point or further. The most interesting thing about the place is the soup shop. There's an octopus manipulating a dead body, but when go into the place you get hints about hidden locations that you may have missed in previous areas.
Once I left The Stranded Sailor I went into Castle Lockstone which despite the amount I spent in only gave me 2 things. lore of the legacy of the lord of doors and my last power. I've gotten a few fragments about something being off within this agency being run by the Lord Of Doors, but this section has 4 statues along with the sprits of the 4 pervious Lord Of Doors who seem to have some slight regrets about how they governed. This was a bit of a surprise to have this backstory in this section, but I am happy to have some more information on this weird agreement that's been established with crows collecting souls.
The other thing I got here was the last power which is the chain-shot. I'll admit very Zelda, but is most of the reason why I knew I wasn't going to invest a lot of time in this session, but I now have the ability to explore all the areas I couldn't reach before.
So after using my new power to traverse around the castle I reached the top and found a new section. I honestly thought that it was just going to be a new location to explore, but it was a cave filled with crows with a title Camp Of The Free Crows. The interesting about the place outside of the fact it was hidden in a mountain was the fact that one of the crows that I've passed and talked to was there. He alluded to the fact he knew that I would eventually find the place and expects me to be apart of an uprising.
A bit confused by that development in the story I started to leave the cave and was warned that the last big soul would be hard to get. I felt overall with the ability to reach new locations that I should start backtracking to the pervious area to get the upgrades I would need to fully upgrade before taking the last boss.
