Extra Movement Glitch in Shining Force II (Sega Genesis) - A Wild Glitch Appears!
Shining Force II is the second installment of the popular tactics RPG series on the Sega Genesis. It's a pretty good game, imo. I only recently found out about a SUPER simple and useful glitch that allows your units to get extra movement range in certain conditions.
During your character's turn, if there is an allied unit at the edge of your character's movement range, you can press C (confirm) just as your character walks over the space your ally is occupying. If you timed the inputs correctly, your character will move ONE EXTRA SQUARE onto a space that is outside of their highlighted movement range.
I find this glitch works best if you get a long "running start" before you approach the ally that is at the edge of your unit's movement range. But again, basically all you need to do is press C as your unit walks over an ally's space. If that ally is at the edge of your character's range, you will move an extra space.
This trick only seems to work while moving DOWN or RIGHT. But sometimes you can finagle a leftward or upward movement if you make a 90 degree turn as you press the C button.
In this example, I was able to place Jaha on a space just outside his typical movement range so that he could attack an otherwise-inaccessible enemy unit.
