Name EVERY CHARACTER in Shining Force (Sega Genesis) - Retrogaming Easter Eggs
539In Shining Force for the Sega Genesis, there's a fun little cheat code you can input when starting a new game that will allow you to name ALL THIRTY playable characters! Normally you only get to name the main character (whose canonical name is Max) so I hope you have a long list of goofy names prepared!
Start a new game, and the game will prompt you to give a name to your main character. Once you have your name typed out, highlight the END button, and hold A, B, C, and START on controller 2. Then, press A, C and START all at once on controller 1.
If you entered the cheat code properly, the game will now ask you to name ALL THIRTY playable characters.
Note that some dialogue during events and scenes will still use the characters' default names.
