Codemasters struggles to hit 60fps during F1 2015 gameplay, but it tries to preserve lower latency controls by unlocking v-sync and displaying frames as soon as they have completed rendering - often while the screen is refreshing, causing screen-tear. But in the replay sections, there is no need for fast controller response. Image integrity becomes more important, so Codemasters introduces a 30fps lock - strictly maintained by both PS4 and Xbox One.
