Radeon R9 Fury X Overclocked vs GTX 980 Ti 4K Benchmarks
447At 4K, the Radeon R9 Fury X is at its most competitive against Nvidia's GTX 980 Ti - and that's at stock clocks. But what if you overclock both cards? We pushed both as far as we could, stress-testing the overclocks in both cases to ensure stability.
To cut a long story short, the GTX 980 Ti was stable with +200MHz to the core, and +400MHz to the RAM. The Fury X's HBM doesn't overclock and while you can play a number of titles with +100MHz to the core, it failed our stability tests. In the event, we could only push the card to +63MHz - a six per cent bump.
Once we achieved stability on both cards, we re-ran our benchmarks - and this is the result. Here we compare stock and overclocked results on both products.
