Practice on Friday for the Japanese GP is over and the fastest driver of the day was Max Verstappen in the Red Bull as he is looking to bounce back from a tricky Australian GP where he was forced to retire very early on and he is currently looking very strong as Red Bull were 1 & 2 with Sergio Perez in second place. But what else did we learn well I am doing a data analysis from Suzuka, Mercedes have brought some upgrades and right now it is looking like it could be paying off for them as Lewis Hamilton and George Russell looked like they have improved. Mclaren should be strong this weekend but a lack of upgrades may have moved them a little bit further back but even so Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris will be giving it their all to fight.
Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will be looking to cement themselves as the closest rivals to Red Bull after Sainz took victory in Melbourne, he still looks like he has the edge over teammate Leclerc.
At Aston Martin Lance Stroll has been given the upgrades and Alonso will have to wait a little longer for his upgrades. For RB it will be interesting to see if Ricciardo can close up to Yuki Tsunoda who is looking strong right now.
