Free Practice in Barcelona for the Spanish GP is over and the fastest driver of the day was Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes and they are continuing the fine form from the Canadian GP, just behind Hamilton was Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari and Lando Norris in the Mclaren was third but faster in the race runs. The field is once again incredibly close, this time between Mercedes, Mclaren, Ferrari and Red Bull. Max Verstappen was close but not close enough to the front. Teammate Sergio Perez had a very difficult day as he was out of the top 10. Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari also had a difficult day as he had his runs stop early with issues.
Oscar Piastri in the other Mclaren was close but not close enough to the front. Pierre Gasly in the Alpine had a fantastic day and the news of Alpine rehiring Flavio Briatore has started off pretty good. Aston Martin look like they will be struggling once again as Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll were outside of the top 10 and didn't look like they were close to even troubling the top 10.
In the top 10 though it is tight and close both in qualifying and race pace. What else did we learn well watch the video and lets find out.
