F16 is one of the DOS games made by InterAction studios.

This is a very simple two-player game, where players are either the attacker or the defender. The attacker can attack with a minigun and a limited amount of rockets. They are also able to lock on the other plane if they're within roughly the same vertical area, which indicates whether the minigun attack will hit. The minigun deals chip damage while the rockets can take away half of the other plane's energy if successfully hit. The defender, meanwhile, can fly around to dodge rockets and get rid of the lock on. They can also fire flares, which will destroy missiles if they touch them. Every 12 seconds, the players switch sides and gain a bit of ammo.

The game has no intro or end state. A player can be brought down to 0 health, but nothing happens after that and no points are awarded, leaving the game in an unfinished state. The only unused thing here is an array of sine and cosine values in the game's memory.

The game was compiled on November 11th, 1996, and it comes with its own WAD file. One notable thing about the game is that the backgrounds are all sprites. There are no proper backgrounds or tiles in use.

There are no sounds in the game.
