Factorio Tutorial 2: Why Your Inserter Isn't Inserting
164Peter K. wants me to explain to new Factorio players why their inserters aren't inserting. Here I cover all of the cases, including how inserters pull and push to belts. One thing I didn't cover: Inserters will keep inserting into smelters until they are completely full of product.
To review:
* Inserters won't insert if the factory has product queued up.
* Inserters won't insert if there is too much resources queued up.
* This is for a good reason: Your factory would suck up all your resources building unnecessary things if it weren't this way.
* Which is why you probably shouldn't build buffers.
