(This video has no commentary, I might, time permitting, do a shorter video with a voiceover at a later date) Fail Gate will be supported in MAME 0.241. The game was developed as 'Final Gate' and due for release in 1990, but the original release appears to have been cancelled. It seems Seibu tried picking it up for release in 1991 under an updated title of 'Fail Gate' but it is unclear if this version got wider distribution. The dump comes from a conversion kit for an Air Raid PCB, replacing the 3 custom modules with 3 sub-boards.

The game is a cross between a puzzle game and an action game, you must plan your route through each level carefully to conserve fuel. There are 6 worlds, with 5 levels each, although you can skip the final level in each world by using the alternate exit.
