(Fake) Guns of Icarus movie trailer
Based on the indie steampunk airship multiplayer game by Muse Games.

The music and dialogue is from the first reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts.
If anybody knows who the artist was who made the music I'd like to know!

This trailer would not have been possible without the fantastic footage (and generous allowance to use said footage) courtesy the independent film The Airlords of Airia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JVtOb99bmc
If you are a steampunk fan or enjoy airship battles this looks fantastic and well worthy of your support.

Steampunk meets the post apocalypse.
I had to make a movie trailer :)
Storywise, the world of the Guns of Icarus has been devastated by near continual war until the cities are reduced to outlying settlements amidst a vast wasteland. The survivors took the skies onboard huge airships. But the threat of political rivals and bandits still persists among the clouds.
Guns of Icarus online is the one and only airship combat simulator I can think of. Manning all player controlled zeppelins of war you not only have to maneuver and fire upon the foe with machine guns, rocket launchers, cannons, and a flame thrower weapon, but you also have to maintain your own ships engines and hull which can be damaged in the midst of ship to ship battles.
Guns of Icarus began life as a crowdsourced project and although the multiplayer looks amazing the new goal is to create a story-based campaign on the titular merchant vessel Icarus the player must defend while visiting the last surviving cities of a ruined world below. In fact if they reach their goal their ambition is a fully realized ground-level post apocalyptic landscape of different factions and climate zones. I hope this trailer encourages you to check out what they've accomplished and what they hope to.
