I remember when someone in the village found out what would happen if they let Xander Root and Broc Flower overripen before mixing them into healing powder. It would amplify the mind altering aspects of the mixture and one of the village kids started selling it to passing by traders and to certain villagers.

After dad died and Grandpa left, Mom had to take on the elder role and she left Aunt Morris to take care of me. Aunt Morris was very depressed most of the time since I was a troublesome child and she often heard horrible stories from the mothers in the village. Morris was sad and lonely so when the "Lifting Powder" as it was named by the village kids, made its way around the village Morris used it to ease her troubles and escape her painful life.

It was nice to see Aunty happy for once however she didn't spend time with me anymore, she took care of me still however feeding me and offering me shelter, but she was distant and if I asked anything of her she would yell at me and break down before returning to her tent to inhale more powder...

When I get home with the Geck I'm going to make sure I thank her for taking care of me.
