Quest Reward: Railway Rifle Schematic

First off, I like to apologize to anyone who's noticed the choppiness and audio sync issues (especially during dialogue) in my earlier Fallout 3 uploads. Apparently, my video editor doesn't like to make 30 fps vids out 30 fps raw files. I've started recording at 32 fps so that 30fps uploads look perfect.

Now for this quest, to reach the National Archive, you need to reach the Mall. Getting to the Mall is pretty easy if you've previously been to the Museums of History or Technology or to the Washington Monument.

Robotics Expert perk may be useful.

In the first area, you'll run into Sydney and need to help her fight off Super Mutants.
If you scorn her help, there's a chance you'll get a random event after the quest where she tries to kill you for ripping her off.
You can kill her for her Ultra SMG, but that's a dick move. You can get her SMG later after the Reilly's Rangers quest, in which you can find her father's last recording.

Follow Sydney's advice and take the secret elevator after you've looted the rotunda mines.
