Since I don't provide any live commentary to the gameplay, here is Ankalagonโs strategy on how he will accomplish his mission of finding his son and rebuilding the civilization in Boston in 2287 and beyond. This will help in understanding what Ankalagon is doing at all times, besides solving quests and exploring areas. In fact, he will do all that in order to accomplish the missions from below:
Building Settlements:
* Establishing as many settlements as he can at all times.
* Connecting all settlements will be a critical mission.
* Starting from individual rooms and small areas of a settlement, Ankalagon will begin cleaning a centuries old rubble and mess and slowly improving the looks and functionality of a settlement.
* Increasing the number of people (and robots) in all settlements as much as possible.
Safety and Security:
Ankalagonโs son must grow in a world that is safe and secure.
* There are going to be guard patrol routes in any settlement.
* Heavy defences will be built in all settlements. Strategically placed turrets, traps and other gadgets will make any invaders very sorry to come to rob a settlement. The goal will be to have as much area as possible covered by defences from multiple points so that enemies have no place to hide from the barrage of incoming fire waiting to greet them.
* Provisioners connecting settlements will also act as a mobile guards, by being provided with good weapons, armours and other supplies. The pattern in which Provisioners connect the settlements will be chosen so as to provide maximum defensive coverage on the whole map, as much as possible.
Providing for the settlements:
For the Boston to thrive, all settlements must have ample food, water, security and beds.
Having surplus of water and also chemicals production will help with acquiring money from trade. Money that will be used to fund further improvements to the settlements.
In small bursts of development, bit by bit, settlements will be rebuilt to a good-looking towns and military forth with other people living there as well.
Alliances and Trade:
Through his actions Ankalagon will make friends with traders in the area and as much as possible have the outside traders visit newly established towns.
