If you're considering watching the rest of this Let's Play for the game, I'd ask that you at least take a quick peak at the 2 middle slides of this video! I'm trying to manage expectations and let everyone know what exactly it is i'm trying to achieve here so there are no disappointments.
What's going on guys Lima Charlie Gaming, or LCG, here with a brand new Let's Play Series! So,
this is going to be a bit longer of a series, and is a game that's very near and dear to my heart.
I fell in love with Fallout 3 and New Vegas while on one of my deployments, and i'm hoping this
holds up to expectations.
That being said and out of the way, this one will be set up a little different. Just a little
bit. There are going to be a few goals, and not rules per se, but guidelines I'd like to follow.
So, what this series is not. It's not a speed run. There's way too much to enjoy in this game to
rush through it, with a lot of stuff that could easily be missed and it takes away from the
experience.
We will not be using mods! I haven't played the game before, and I want to play it as it was
intended before making any changes to the base game. Maybe we'll do a modded series afterwards!
This series is also not a roleplay character. I have a ton of respect for those of you who do
those types of series, but it's not what we're doing now. They take a whole new level of
creativity that I couldn't really deliver to you guys - and that's not fun.
It's also not an ultimate guide or walkthrough! I'm a casual gamer who plays games for fun.
There are other streamers and YouTubers out there who specialize in that kind of content. If
that's what you're looking for, look them up! I appreciate your viewership, but i'm not going to
fulfill your needs and don't want to waste your time.
Finally, it's not the 100% play through. We won't be doing every single quest from every single
NPC. I don't know the game well enough for that, and honestly don't even know how possible it is!
For the same reason as my last point, if that's what you're looking for please make use of the
search function and be a great fan of someone!
Whew, I'm glad to have that out of the way! I hate starting out on a negative note, and telling
you what we're NOT, but it's important! Let's move ahead and talk about what we ARE doing, and
hopefully doing well!
We're going to have fun, and lots of it! That's the bottom line, anything I say from here on out
is flexible if we're not having fun!
Now, I'm really interested in breaking out of my own mold. I traditionally play a very bland
character with no major weights on points. In this Let's Play, we're going to make a very
socially adapted character. I hated losing out on storyline in the other Fallouts because I
failed in a social situation. Sooo, we'll be doing that.
We will be using some internet resources incase we hit a road block, or don't understand a
particular mechanic. This game is pretty robust and I'm a little slow and picking up on things
sometimes! Please, bare with me! If you have inputs feel free to drop it in the comments section
and i'll do my best to respond!
Lastly, I'm going to do my best to follow the story as it goes, as well as branch out when
appropriate. It looks like Fallout 4 provides pretty good guidance on where to go and what to do,
but we like the side quests too. If we get too far off track don't be afraid to remind me in the
comments that its been a while since addressing the main quest line.
