Fallout 4 is a post-apocalyptic action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fourth main game in the Fallout series and was released worldwide on November 10, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. The game is set in a post-nuclear war open-world environment that encompasses the city of Boston and the surrounding Massachusetts region known as “The Commonwealth.” Players assume the role of the “Sole Survivor,” emerging from cryogenic stasis in Vault 111 to embark on a quest to find their missing child after witnessing the murder of their spouse.
The gameplay of Fallout 4 includes features such as an extensive crafting system, settlement building, a layered armor system, and a dialogue system with over 111,000 lines of dialogue. Players can explore the dilapidated world, complete quests, interact with various factions, and customize weapons and armor using scavenged materials. The game also introduces new elements like managing settlements, crafting structures, and defenses against attacks.
