Fallout New Vegas For The Republic, Part 2 part 1 of 4 Hoover Dam
24For the Republic, Part 2 is the end game quest series for the NCR.
Completing the first two parts of the quest (dealing with the Great Khans and Omertas) will lock you out of completing the game on Caesar's Legion's side.
For the Republic will also kill completing the game for
Mr. House.
For the Republic will require you to visit Hoover Dam. Hoover Dam's visitor center can be reached easily from Boulder City or Ranger Station Delta.
At Hoover Dam, you can find a snowglobe on the desk in the visitor's center and two chinese stealth suits in the offices section. Unlike their Fallout 3 counterpart, the stealth suits do not produce a camouflaging stealth field, but they still give decent damage protection and a boost to sneak skill.
The content of the video after 2:55 shows where the suits are relative to where Colonel Moore is usually located.
Also near Moore's home base, their are some stairs that will lead to hall featuring Hoover Dam Quartermaster Bardon. Bardon sells large quantities of ammo, but you will need to get permission from Colonel Moore or have at least 50 speech and Accepted reputation with the NCR.
Now for the quest, Colonel Moore's first assignment is for you to deal with the Great Khans. You either have to kill them or convince them to not side with Caesar's Legion.
My uploads of "Fallout New Vegas Oh My Papa" show how to guarantee the Great Khans a great future. In Oh My Papa, you can encourage them to abandon the south-west. The long-term result is that the Great Khans flourish in the former U.S mid-west and Great Plains.
Alternatively, you can encourage to do a suicide attack on Caesar's Legion during the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. The result will be that their culture is shattered and they are further subjected to abuse from the NCR.
Once the Great Khans are either dead or convinced to cut ties with Caesar's Legion, Colonel Moore will give you her next assignment, which consists of stopping Nero and Big Sal of the Omertas from launching terrorist attacks during the 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam.
Refer to the video "How Little We Know" to learn how to stop them.
After Colonel Moore learns of what you have done with the Omertas, you will be banned from helping the Legion gain Hoover Dam.
Colonel Moore's 3rd task requires you to kill Mr. House, which actually is pretty easy. Unless you have given Mr. House the platinum chip, his Securitrons will be crappy fighters.
Kill the three securitrons in the Lucky 38 Casino and take the elevator to the Penthouse. Kill another 5 securitrons, and access the wall computer terminal left of Mr. House's communication monitor. The terminal will let you open a path to the Penthouse's security management area. Kill 2 more securitrons and use a terminal to open up elevator access.
Through the elevator, you will find Mr. House's life support pod. Use a near by terminal to open up the pod. No matter what you do to stop Mr. House from interfering with the NCR, you will gain bad karma. So, disabling his cerebral uplink is not necessarily more morally upright than just shooting him.
Once he's dead, consider telling Yes Man to upload himself into Mr. House's mainframe. Completing Wild Card: Change in Management will unlock access to Arcade Gannon's companion quest earlier than working with Mr. House or the NCR.
When you report to Moore after killing or disabling Mr. House, she will request that you destroy the Brotherhood of Steel.
To gain entrance into the bunker, you need either a security card, a Paladin mission holotape, or Veronica.
Just get Veronica if you've never been to the Bunker before.
Once inside, you can either kill everyone or set off a self-destruct sequence. Self-destruct can be activated though a Very Hard terminal in the virtual reality bay. To get its password, you need to steal keycards from Elder McNamara, Scribe Taggart, and Paladin Hardin.
If you want things to end peacefully, you will need to finish the quest Still in the Dark on Elder McNamara's side so that he will agree to a truce and alliance with the NCR.
After all that, Colonel Moore will give you the quest You'll Know it When it Happens.
Before doing You'll Know it When it Happens, speak with Julie Farkas in Old Mormon Fort so that she will support the NCR.
Her support will prevent the Followers from being kicked out of the Mojave by the NCR.
