Famitracker Bits Original - "The Ballad of Magmaitre" (MMC5)
C'est chaud! C'est 8-bit! C'est apparemment sur YouTube.
...horrible French aside, "The Ballad of Magmaitre" is another track in the series of Famitracker Bits Originals I'm doing on the side. Actually, this consists of two tracks, not one. INTRODUCING:
Magmaitre Stage Theme!! - 0:00
Vs Magmaitre!! - 3:12
Both tracks use MMC5, for reference.
The boss theme was actually the first track completed, with the intent being to create a fire-themed boss battle. There are two major sections: The first overly uses the percussion (durr) and makes it sound like a rock-out music and/or fast-paced accoustic guitar theme. The second is a somewhat slower-paced traditional boss-style music, (daa-daa-da-da?).
Then, the stage theme was built off of that, using the major melodies of the boss music and incorporating them into a slower cave-like theme. I think what I was going for here was something that sounded like the Ice Cave from Pokemon Gold and Silver. You may notice that the triangle plays only AFTER the first loop, like I tried to do earlier with the drums in "The Pale Horse".
Nothing much to say about this, other than that, but again, if you want me to post the remixed version of "A Boss Offensive", let me know, and I'll upload it.
NOTICE ABOUT THE TOWERFALL WITHOUT ARROWS VIDEOS: This started as a thing I kind of wanted to try and see if it worked and was fun to do. I uploaded some videos the other night that had commentary, but the funny thing was I wasn't aware my commentary was being recorded until uploading. My plan for accomodating for that is to do a mini-LP series WITH commentary for each stage, including those I've already uploaded. So yeah, just giving you headphone-users a heads up!!
