The game director of Far Cry Primal, Thomas Simon of Ubisoft (naturally) has discussed the upcoming PS4, PC and Xbox One title. He discusses some of the massive gameplay changes that the chosen setting will bring, such as the limited variety of weapons.

However, since you can tame wild animals, the different tactics open to the player are even more so. The inherent open world, multiple tactic focus of the Far Cry series will fit rather well into this, I think.
