Well, after a lot of thought and frustration, I decided to convert my save game over to a file and import it into Mednafen. Going forward with this game, I will be playing using that emulator. This patch is awesome but it is unreliable using real hardware. That was pretty disapointing to me but I have to say, using this emulator has been pretty good.
