0The next part will entail shooting up a beach-head and some old ruins; ignore the other beach area as there's nothing much there. Just remember to check guard towers and the armory for a sniper rifle for later in the game. Also, use an enemy boat to score some kills for an achievement later on. There is at least one patrolling and the main beachhead has some unsuspecting Mercs to shoot with it.
Eventually you will enter a large gun battle on the roof of a Japanese WWII bunker; use the HMG after fighting your way to the top. There will be a VTOL transport dropping troops; most times you won't shoot it down, so don't sweat it. Aim at the tail section to take down the fast roping Mercs. One or two of them may survive and will move in on you; if not, then hunt them down. Grab the ammo once done and trigger communication with Doyle to begin achievement time (the checkpoint will reset you to before the VTOL fight). Take the rocket launcher near the bunker entrance and use it to take out the boat. The next boat will drop some troops that will one-shot you with a rocket if you don't duck, and run immediately, even on easy. Next up, a helicopter and some troops will show up so use the HMG and mow them down. Take out the gunner in the second one and then focus back on the surviving troops. Mark them if you cannot find them.
