I picked this game up pre-owned the day before I bought an Aim Controller. The game is serviceable enough. It has its good points within the action, sometimes, but I'd probably only score the game a 6/10. I'm about 60% through the game now, and the story took an entire narrative and tonal shift, leaving me less of a reason to forge forward. But I'll keep going and see what reasons the game offers me, being interested in VR game design and all.

This is a boss fight that happens about 40% through the game. Scalewise the boss is well larger than a two-story barn.

The game has you walking on a literally linear path to minimize any need for turning. I enabled stick turning because I like more freedom moving around environments, even if the game doesn't require it.

Update: Ok, so as I pressed forward through the new sets of enemies, I encountered a storypoint that hearkened back to the second act. So that wasn't a bad addition. But the combat areas that followed were very VERY hard. Died many times. And the story ending, well, yeah it's vague, not really fulfilling. Very sci fi. Still a 6/10. For a demo of the Aim controller, though, I would have liked battle areas and mechanics that were friendlier. I spent more time trying to take surgical shots down the site of my gun (the fights ended faster that way) a lot more than just enjoying holding and firing the Aim controller. It did have its cool moments though - first VR experience where I was walking beside a friendly large mechanical walker. I did like that. The fights just required being too fiddly with my aiming all the time to be enjoyable.
