Honestly besides a Geo theme I don't know what these guys have in common. Naturally with Itto's rerun we get Gorou. It seems these pairs are set in stone: Sara for Ei, Faruzan for Scara, Gorou for Itto. All archers too btw.
Anyway Dori is still Dori. She's not really the best Electro character and Claymores are never good. Both Gorou and Yun Jin are there to provide support though Yun Jin is just an attack booster so she works for more teams than just Geo like Gorou. And which Geo would they be working for? That's right! It's your one and oni! I'm actually surprised to see Itto getting a rerun. I mean the guy had his own event at the ends of both v4.3 and v4.4. We usually don't get this many back to back appearances. But I also don't think his story will be advancing any more for the time being so again weird to have him appearing in this rerun. But Gorou and Yun Jin would be great at supporting him since he's your standard Geo unga bunga.
So now we get to Chiori the only new character of the update. Her hold skill is a repeat of both Keqing's and Alhaitham's before her. I suppose being able to switch out in the middle of your attack is something but if it's just for her I don't see it being all that useful. If anything it would have been nice to be able to do this systemwide. Zenless and now HI3 both have ways to swap characters in the middle of attacks. And then you have her Burst which is just your typical big hit. Honestly I think the biggest shocker with her release is that the leakers and rumors were wrong again. She isn't on the standard banner. Previously it was suggested that she'd be v4.x's entry in the standard banner just like Tighnari and Dehya were added last year. She would have been the only Geo and also an representative from Inazuma. I actually thought that made sense but it's another example of why not to believe the leakers.
Anyway for v4.5 I think I'm just happy I have enough Fates to guarantee Neuvillette in the next banner run and I may even have enough to get Arlecchino in v4.6 so fingers crossed. Are you guys going for Chiori?
