DM Ted walks us through how to customize creatures for an encounter for he Dungeon Mastered recently. Making D&D monsters isn't nearly as complicated as some gamers make it for themselves- he built a deadly and interesting dnd monster in about 5 minutes that challenged the adventuring party during the game session. In a past edition of Dungeons and Dragons he would have spent hours building the same monster from scratch.

GM Tips: An important part of being a better dungeonmaster is knowing where to spend your time prepping for your dnd sessions. Being a DM can take up a lot of time so it is best not to waste any of it. This way you can spend more time being a critter and watching critcal role or Stranger Things, or heck, actually playing the game and less time prepping!
