Due to certain circumstances in my life, I ended up having some more time on my hands, so here I go. My old video editor seized working, so I'm currently trying out a different one. Consider this and the following vids as quality tests concerning the video quality.

Nevertheless, this is a small challenge for a game I have mixed feelings on. Fast Racing Neo seems to have acquired the status of an F-Zero substitute, while in my opinion, the game falls back far behind F-Zero GX. Among some minor problems, the rubber-band AI is one of the worst and most obvious shortcomings. Often, you have no real impact on which place you're going to land sine the AI can just decide to speed past you when it feels you're getting too much of a lead. This also results in the AI trashing themselves by driving into one of the track's obstacles (of which there are many) since they are too fast to control properly 100% of the time.

The relentless AI is what makes the biggest portion of this challenge - finishing 1st in four consecutive races may sound easy but is actually harder to pull off than you'd think due to the aforementioned conditions. Just to make things even a bit more difficult and to piss me off more, crashing myself is a no go. Normally, a crash would make it impossible to come in first, but there are certain tracks where you can still do it without significant repercussions. And believe me, for a game that's about speed, there are way too many things that make you crash; landing outside of the track, I understand, but literally every other obstacle that is either on the track or even around it will make you crash, and it sucks.

Anyway, I'd still recommend giving the game a shot since it's only 15 bucks and it's technically a solid game despite its problems. If you haven't played F-Zero GX or WipEout HD, I'd say you should try those out first. Also, a free DLC pack with 8 new tracks and some new skins arrives at the 30th, so now's a good time to jump on the train.
