What felt like forever being down in the damp underground passageway, Snake found a rusted key behind an even more rusted box. There was so much ancient junk thrown down here it was a miracle he even found it. Simply seeing its simple shape filled him with motivation and eagerness to return to Mayu. Finally, this was it! They could go home after this horrible nightmare.

But this wouldn't be a horror story if that fate was even remotely in the cards for Snake...

Regardless of his fatigue he ran for the house Mayu was being kept in. Over the long bridge, past the eerie tunnel all in hope to keep his promise to his sister. Snake made it back through the door in to the hallway where she was being imprisoned. She clearly must have heard him coming through the door, Snake heard his name being called. At least he thought he did, though it sounded wrong he recognized it as him name. He took the chance to catch his breath walking down the hallway, assuring her from a far that he was back with the key feeling like a hero. Her cell had already been opened and Mayu, once again, was gone.
