♫FATE (Breath of Fire) NES Arrangement - NintendoComplete
This is an arrangement of the Yasuaki Fujita's song "Fate" from the 1993 SNES game Breath of Fire. I have arranged the song for native playback on NES hardware, and the audio was recorded directly from a toaster-model US NES deck.
Fate is the name of the song according to the soundtrack, but a lot of people also seem to call it Alan and Cerl's theme.
This track doesn't use of any of the NES's PSG sounds. It's all digital, downmixing four PCM streams into a single stream that then gets fed to the sample channel. It plays on stock NES hardware with no mods or additional sound hardware. (I used SuperNSF to create it and I played it on the console with a PowerPak flash cart, in case you want to try it out yourself.)
It was just a fun experiment to explore some possibilities, and I thought the track lent itself well to the task. Thanks for listening!
