1Something small I've worked on the past two days to improve these skills:
Hitboxes: Attacking an enemy is now separate from the character's animation, making gameplay a lot more fun and accurate
Ai: Enemies have set attack patterns and movement options.
I believe I am the first person to ever attempt an FE platformer. Neat. I plan to add more to this until the engine is good enough to be used in other projects... unless you guys want an FE platformer. Merry Christmas!
