Chapter 15 is cleared in 8 turns (34 total).

A defence map with no way to speed things up. Like all other defence maps, the game adds an additional turn on top of the ones that pass here, in this case 7+1.

It may seem that there'd be some new difficulties on this map owing to the absence of Oswin and/or Hector whose tanking capabilities are impressive, but no such thing happens. Vaida is basically Oswin without any of the things that make Oswin bad (she's got mobility and flight), and even Farina doesn't mind being sniped by a nomad once or twice, as much as she may appreciate being healed once or twice during the chapter.

This is a good map to train the various characters in the army. I experiment a little on turn 1, checking how far I can move Nino without her dying and also where her next level-up is satisfactory, and she ends up dodging all four enemies and getting a +mag/spd level. Farina and Jaffar also end up dodging the attacks on this turn...

Speaking of Jaffar, he's not really necessary for anything here, and I'd rather not bother giving him any experience because bosskilling isn't THAT hard in this game to warrant continuing to invest into a foot unit locked to swords when you could be turning Farina and Vaida and Nino into monsters. Nino is probably my first chance, having done multiple FE7 LTC runs in my lifetime, to have a competent tome user, or a more competent one than Pent anyway (because who will seriously argue Pent isn't a good character?). She has a higher magic cap too, but what I'm worried is how I may end up without a mounted staff user because Priscilla switches recruitment with Geitz, and getting to Geitz's map is scarcely compatible with LTCing.

But yeah, Jaffar. He's only on the map in the first place because having him get shot by an archer, instead of Nino, causes the RNG to give me really good level-ups. That's it really! He can't steal the thieves' lockpicks or lockpick himself, but I'm pretty sure we're getting Legault very soon, so this issue shouldn't linger for too long.

One dilemma here is what to do about the boss. He's mounted and has a longbow so if you accidentally get into his extensive attack range, he'll be shooting your units until you can target him yourself. I stay out of his range until the penultimate turn, which doesn't appear to limit my enemy phases much, if at all, and then bait him with Harken (who, like Jaffar, does a big fat nothing here) so that I can kill him with Farina. Farina and Vaida proccing the right stats enables them to ORKO some otherwise unORKOable (what a word) foes right off the bat, exactly what the kind of snowballing that we've been meaning to accomplish with them and Nino. While Vaida initially started slow and not particularly good at attacking, with D lances to boot, I get the vague feeling that she will be considerably better than Heath (joining next map) thanks to her level-ups in the early maps. She should catch up in lance rank too, perhaps. The big difference between the two wyverns is, of course, Heath's superior Aid, which isn't such a big deal when Athos is much lighter than the vanilla lord of HHM.

Anyway, for a defence map this wasn't too bad (it's short!) and we've enjoyed really good levels here.
