Olivia is easy and Nihilego is short. Why not unite the two?

Olivia had made some interesting changes to her team since SM. The fossil Pokemon she now uses before going for Lycanroc Dusk may not boast particularly high stats, but they sure help cover her weaknesses, most notably that to grass. Anorith and Lileep both receive neutral damage, the former packing a super-effective STAB in Bug Bite; that is, if we can even assume you have a neutral grass-type at this point, which isn't something the game's design encourages a whole lot.

I've been catching a lot of Island Scan mons in this run, and they haven't really proved useful. Case in point, the lead Marshtomp comes with Counter and is one of the many Island Scan mons who have it as their exclusive move that they don't normally have at that level. There are many ways to down that Anorith in one hit, but using Marshtomp to OHKO it by countering Bug Bite allows my two juggernauts to maintain their full HP for their respective matchups.

Lileep is weak to quite a few things, as you'd expect of any other rock-type (probably the best dual rock typing in a vacuum tbqh) - steel, fighting, bug, ice... Few of these are easy to exploit with the tools available so I go for for its bug weakness, having my Ultra Moon-exclusive Totem-sized Araquanid handle it with Leech Life whose TM you just so happen to find at this point.

Lycanroc is next and it had best regret it's out because it's about to be destroyed by am even more powerful Wishiwashi that we'd caught. Even with Brine having underwhelming base power (Scald is kinda missed), Lycanroc is still OHKO'd by a boosted Brine.

I also have a better way of taking out Nihilego in USUM. Guess what that is? Right, Wishiwashi yet again. It can easily survive two of Nihilego's attacks thanks to that bulk and 2HKOs back with Brine.

One of the game's highlights, Malie City Hau, is coming up next!
