FE7if is a hack for the japanese version of Blazing Sword, Rekka no Ken. Enemy difficulty is boosted, items/weapons/characters rebalanced, new music, and even new characters taking the place of some old ones.

If you wish to try out the hack, the latest version can be located here: http://www.uploadable.ch/file/ACDETeQcA9Dg

Do a search on Google for the ROM (Japanese version of course!).

Second chapter that is unique only to Hector's route. Compared to the last one, it's not quite as tough. The flyer quotient is much less severe with only a couple Wyvern Lords and some Wyvern Knights to worry about, then a couple more flyers several turns down the road.

Before starting the mission, make sure you have 20k gold available. If funds are required, the boss has a White Gem while another enemy forks over a tome that sells for close to 7k gold, meaning you'd have to come up with little on your end.

As for the objective here, it's not strictly a kill the boss type of map, but rather, you need to seize three castles. There's one in the southwest, the northwest, and the northeast.

It won't be that easy of course. Each castle has some kind of strong unit guarding it. While all are threats, the worst ones are the northwest & northeast guardians. The northeast guardian is a Bishop with the light based siege tome Purge to wreck your day. The northwest guardian is the boss of this chapter and he packs all three brave weapons, making him a dangerous threat.

Aside from that, the beginning is nothing more than your typical walling off. Get a couple of sturdy units to block off the horde of enemies coming from the northwest and you can get the rest of your team to focus on dealing with the flyers with a few breaking off to seize the southwestern fortress. Make sure your dedicated blockers are not flyers as there are a few ballistas on the other side of the river.

Another point of interest is the village in the east by the siege tome wielding Bishop. After the first turn concludes, Pirates start spawning in from the southeast and will try to go destroy that village. Problem here...my flyers do not have the best resistance and they're not quite combat capable enough to just carve up the Pirates easily.

My solution? Park Meredia right next to the spawn point for the Pirates. They only come in one at a time so if she has a few Elixirs and can hold out for three turns, she'll only have to kill one to keep the village safe. If needed, Canas can blow up the lone Pirate with a shot of Eclipse.

Finally, Hector is going to want to stay near the mountains in the south. After enough turns have passed, a green army Peg Knight appears. She's not suicidal like Fiora was and will make her way to Hector to have a chat with him. While this conversation is all moonspeak, it's no different than vanilla. Give her 20k gold and she'll join your team.

More next time!
