feedback amplifiers based on Microelectronic Circuits second edition
ISBN 0-03-007328-6
approx. 1,000 pages
book is a 5 star publication
there are newer editions of this book.
This book has much more depth then a
tech school book.
The "in chapter" Exercies can require more effort because:
1. a problem may require info from
previous chapters and not just
stuff from the present sections.
2. The problems are not just simple
plug and play equations. The info
is covered, but the questions may
be asked from a seemingly opposite
perspective....puzzle like .
3. some required math techniques needed,
are NOT covered in the book.
No calculus is needed, because they stay
in the "Frequency Domain" ie: No "Time Domain"
thus No "LaPlace Transforms" are used..
A good DC\AC book would start with the time domain
and eventually show the patterns that lead to the
simpler but effective Frequency Domain type of
analysis.
There is plenty of circuit modeling and
classic circuit analysis , of Discrete
transistor amps. and op-amps
I will show explicit solutions to some in-chapter Exercises of chapters:
1 , 2 , and 12 "12 is Neg. feedback amps."
I start with required math techniques used in the
book, that are NOT covered in the book.
The book is well written, and it does make you think.
Used in a school environment, it could add stress.
indepth op-amp. , discrete transistor amps, diff. amps.,
the current sources used in IC op-amps.
At times, heavy into circuit modeling and equation writing.
plenty of D.C. transistor bias analysis.
FET's are included in the book too.
