2D 3D compositing in vegas camera fly by DVD menu is in the house
vegas 6 over 200 tracks render time about 64 hours.
built props in seperate projects then imported the veg prop( via File menu Open )
Sony's cube veg demo project was very simple but inspirational.
It really is a 3D "Game like" environment
I didn't use any fog or particle systems,
so it has a basic look.
This is a redue video , now has all 4 vids in one project.
playlist deleted, not needed .
vegas is like putting art work into geomety, without having to write any 3D graphics code. All that is needed is some really good art work.
Working 200+ tracks in vegas ain't fun. Some code might be easier in the long run.
The audio was originally mixed\panned as 5.1 dolby.
I took some time with that too.
menu 1 2 3 are three parts that make a complete DVD menu.
the selection brush stroke to highlight a menu choice is not shown
on the billboard or inside the house but is present on the authored DVD .
Watch rotate, built in vegas time line using trig. calculations to
make\posittion the band\ring of rectangles.
use Sony's cube.veg project as a starter tutorial for making simple geometric shapes.
I did need to use a calculator.
The stop and yield signs were sperate small projects too.
The house is double walled, the roof too.
Hundreds of tracks for the complete project.
The Sky box, well, that was before I knew about "cube mapping"
and how to make a seemless skybox from 6 images( cube.)
The fence is real geometry too, from a smaller imported veg project.
Vegas can do a lot, but what a brain buster.
Yep, just like in a video game, the whole thing resides in a cube( sky box )
Once inside the cube( sky box ) , I needed a way to place the props and to
navigate too. stop and yield sign, billboard, fence , tree, house etc....
This was before I knew about wide screen, so it's 4:3 aspect.
used PhotoShop Elements those red bricks are classic PhotoShop
Sony sound samples for the music
magix music maker synthesizer for water
Did I use MIDI for the birds ? or Sony sound samples ?
the mirror sound effect from Sony sounds ?
