Fernando Torres was WRONG to leave Liverpool
It was one of the biggest transfer deals in Premier League history. Fernando Torres was to join Chelsea for an eyewatering £50 million in a January transfer from Liverpool. Torres’ form had dipped slightly and he had never recovered from an injury that robbed him of enjoying Spain’s 2010 World Cup triumph the previous summer. Torres didn’t have the best time at Stamford Bridge but did leave a champion of England and Europe in his time at the club before returning to Spain. In his absence, Liverpool gained Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, with very different career paths.
